To help drive their aggressive business growth strategy to double turnover in 3 years, the Directors of multi-award-winning Contact Centre Carpeo recently appointed Stuart Aris as Operations Director. His blue-chip pedigree includes nearly four years as Head of Sales and Customer Service at RAC, nearly four years as Head of Customer Services at British Gas and just over a year at Capita Business Services as Head of Front & Back Office. While at Capita, Stuart managed multiple large contact centre sites across different client contracts.
Swindon-based Carpeo is in the process of opening a second/sister site in Newport, Wales, and Stuart’s appointment is a key part of a growth and change management strategy designed to underpin significant expansion. Stuart joins CEO Mike Minahan (also from RAC), with whom he has worked for 10 of the past 14 years. The pair have complementary skillsets and together they make a formidable team, having doubled RAC’s turnover in the space of four years through various initiatives.

Stuart absolutely thrives on business transformation and his ambition is to drive Carpeo to become an even better place to work, which feeds through into greater success for clients. He has never joined a company to maintain its status quo and says “I have only ever joined companies on a fast growth track. Carpeo’s founding Directors and Senior Management team are ambitious and have great drive and enthusiasm!” He continues “I have a tremendous respect for Mike’s leadership and together we are already seeing results in a number of key performance indicators.“
His particular focus is staff retention and to develop the “people capability”. If Stuart gets it right then Carpeo will go from strength to strength. Since his arrival, Carpeo is already a much better place to work with the introduction of several initiatives such as a performance-related pay, attendance bonus, childcare vouchers, and so on.
Stuart will be based in Swindon two days a week managing Carpeo’s existing sales and customer service contact centre, while the other three days a week, he will have full operational control over the new contact centre at Caerleon House, Cleppa Park in Duffryn. In addition, he will oversee the launch campaign for the company’s exciting new business initiative “Carpeo Estate Planning”, which goes live on 5th June.
